William Morris

William Morris was a revolutionary force in Victorian Britain: his work as an artist, designer, craftsman, writer, and socialist dramatically changed the fashions and ideologies of the time.

Morris would become one of the most important figures in the Arts and Crafts movement. Morris founded his company, Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co, in 1861. It became best known for its fabrics and wallpapers with iconic patterns such as Pimpernel, Strawberry Thief, Fruit, and Golden Lily.
